Paul Coury


Paul Coury founded Coury Properties, Inc., a full-service commercial realty company, in 1985. A native Tulsan and graduate of The University of Tulsa, Coury approaches business with a combination of vision, creativity, understanding of development trends, engineering insights and a “no fear” philosophy of calculated risks. His business background has enabled him to grow his operations to include management of more than twenty commercial properties, investor-ownership of fifteen sites, a construction consulting and development brokerage service, and an aggregate company value in excess of $130 million. Coury’s diverse career prior to founding the company includes roles in management training and assistant vice presidency of commercial real estate at the Bank of Oklahoma as well as vice presidency in commercial real estate for the Banks of Mid-America, home to a $100 million property loan portfolio.

Major Tulsa projects undertaken by the Coury team in Tulsa have included the development of the Brooktowne residential and commercial community at 46th and Peoria, construction of the Tudors and the Cottages of Maple Ridge, the Grottos at Grand Lake, and the rebirth of historic sites including Tulsa's Hotel Ambassador, the Colcord Hotel in Oklahoma City and the Inn at Price Tower in Bartlesville.

A philanthropist and community volunteer, his past and recent civic involvements include: The Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Task Force on Downtown Tulsa; the Eastern Oklahoma Catholic Foundation chairmanship; the Young Presidents Organization, Chairman; Newman Center at University of Tulsa; River Parks Authority Board; Tulsa Trails Expansion, Chairman; and Tulsa Unlimited, Chairman.
